About

My Story

As a qualified teacher with both state and independent school classroom experience, I offer personalised and high-quality tutorials across the primary curriculum and beyond. I strongly believe in the transformative power of tutoring to boost a child’s confidence while equipping them with the necessary knowledge and exam skills to achieve their full potential. It’s not just about academics, but about offering your child the time they need to ask questions and build confidence in a supportive environment. By tailoring my sessions to each student’s strengths and areas needing improvement, I strive to inspire a lifelong love of learning.

To tutor, or not to tutor?

As an experienced Year 5 teacher, it’s a question that I have been asked many a time. Does tutoring guarantee your child a place at their dream school? The short answer is no. There are any number of variables that might impact the outcome of an entrance exam or assessment day, and there are an even larger number of different criteria that individual schools put more or less emphasis on, whilst keeping their cards frustratingly close to their chest.

However, tutorials tailored to your child can be the key to the self-belief that allows their very best – whatever that might look like – to shine through. You might consider tutoring if your child has a noticeable weakness across the tested disciplines that could do with being brought up to speed with their stronger subjects or if they need specific exam skill practice. Tutorials can also help if you need a hand getting your head around the increasingly large list of different paper types or to develop your child’s resilience and confidence to keep exam nerves at bay.

Putting your child first

No two children are the same. Bespoke tutorials could be the key to helping your child’s individual brilliance shine.
