Free Audiobook Guide: The Nowhere Emporium

The Nowhere Emporium is well and truly open for business. As part of a series of free resources to support your child’s reading this summer, this audiobook guide will help them to explore key themes, analyse figurative language, and plan their own sensory description.

It might be almost a decade old, but Ross MacKenzie’s The Nowhere Emporium remains as captivating to my KS2 pupils as it did upon its first – somewhat sensational – release. For fans of fantasy, adventure and mystery, the story follows Daniel Holmes, an orphan from Glasgow, who can’t believe his luck when he is welcomed into Mr Silver’s Nowhere Emporium, travelling through space and time. However, it’s not long before he realises that something more menacing might lie beneath the wonders sold to the Emporium’s unknowing visitors.

The story is currently free to listen to with a Spotify Premium subscription and you can download my free audiobook guide here:
